OKBAH CAMPAIGN is a short documentary project under a small initiative by the Ministry of Communications. The project highlights inspiring stories from the people of Sabah through a series of short documentaries that capture individuals and communities carrying out positive activities that create a meaningful impact on others.

Using a realistic and heartfelt storytelling approach, OKBAH CAMPAIGN showcases the resilience, hard work, and positive spirit of Sabahans in facing everyday life challenges. Each documentary focuses on ordinary people with extraordinary stories, such as activists, photographers, small business owners, volunteers, and local communities who continue striving for their families and society.

DOCUMENT-ARY THE LAST RHINO  

2017

In 2017, Layar Tujuh Films (FaezahxsFilm) collaborated with NGO Borneo Rhino Alliance. Once again, Faezah Saddi became a Director and Producer for a Documentary called ‘ The Last Rhino: The Future of Tam (Kertam)’. The stories about the last male Sumatran Rhino in Sabah, which is Tam’s lives under a threat of extinction since he was the only one male Sumatran Rhino. Meanwhile, Tam also lives with two other female Rhino Puntong and Iman, who both have a problem reproducing. Ironically, the three Sumatran Rhinos became the last Borneo Sumatran Rhinos in Malaysia.

In 2019, the world lost yet another magnificent creature and moved closer towards losing an ancient rhino lineage. Kertam and two others, Rhino, Punting, and Iman, die due to illness.

Our documentary is evidence of their last appearance that people can watch and treasure as memories and knowledge.

DOCUMENTARY THAT WOMAN

THAT WOMAN is a short documentary film that tells the inspiring journey of a female boxer, Chin Kae Tyng, as she rebuilds herself after experiencing heartbreak and emotional loss. After being left by her partner, she begins a journey of self-growth and personal transformation through discipline, strength, and self-development.

The documentary explores how boxing becomes more than just a sport for Chin Kae Tyng; it becomes a space for healing, resilience, and empowerment. Through intense training sessions and the demanding preparation for an upcoming boxing competition, the film captures her determination to push beyond her emotional struggles and become a stronger version of herself.

Through intimate and realistic storytelling, THAT WOMAN highlights themes of discipline, perseverance, and inner strength. The film portrays not only the physical challenges of becoming a boxer, but also the emotional battle of learning how to stand up again after heartbreak. It is a story about pain, growth, and the courage to keep moving forward.
